What is Flex-Hone
Flex-Hone is a cylinder hone with a soft cutting action on the surface as opposed to the heavy grinding and shearing action of the rigid hone. Instead of a fast stock removal through pre- ssure of abrassives on the metal surface, the Flex-Hone is a selfcentering, self-aligning, autocompensating for wear, surface finishing tool. This means that you are going to get the same consistent pressure against every area of the cylinder wall throughout its entire length and because it is self compensat- ing for wear, it is going to give exactly the same finish in each and every cylinder throughout it’s life.

Instead of 3 or 4 or 5 rigid stones, Flex-Hone has hundreds of abrasive globules or stones. It’s controlled flexibility is the secret. It removes the peak creating a plateaued surface, and cuts away the distorted and disfigured debris left on the surface. Lowered blow-by, great savings in oil consumption, longer valve guides, less oil in the emissions, less oil conta- mination, less wall friction and a better lubrication-retaining surface to eliminate scuffing and give greater overall engine efficiency. An absolue must for the manufacture of new engines, new hydraulic cylinders or pneumatics. Eficiency and conservation demands it.

Flex-Hone for Rotors
Flex-Hone for Rotors utilizes the patented Flex-Hone technology to produce the ideal surface finish on disc brake rotors and fly wheels. More rotors per hone last much longer than abrasive pads. Produces a non- directional pattern – spiral grooves on the braking sur- face area, a prime cause of friction induced brake noise. Lower harmonic vibrations – Reduc es high pitched “squeal” and “groan” caused by peaky, rough turned finish.
